The terms and conditions contained herein (hereinafter referred to as 'Terms') apply for the Participation in SMARTEX Awards or any other event conducted by Building Material Reporter

• Your participation in the Competition will be considered as an acceptance of the Terms.
• SMARTEX reserves the right to modify the Terms at any time.
• SMARTEX shall not be responsible for any loss or mishandling of entries before judgment. It will not be liable to return the submitted entries.
• It is the responsibility of the participants to ensure their contact details are correct and up to date.
• Disqualification of entries is at the sole discretion of the Jury. Awards Management reserves the right to reclassify nominations from one category to another without requiring prior approval from the participant.
• Please note that the travel & stay of all the nominees & finalists will be borne by the participants.
• The Management of SMARTEX AWARDS & its subsidiaries/group companies reserve the right to cancel/postpone/stop this event at its discretion or change all or any part of the terms and conditions that are applicable, without giving prior intimation of any kind and not being liable for any consequential loss/damage.
• We are fully committed to following laws related to the collection of data and to our carefully considered policy on data collection. You are required to give us the correct details about yourself and SMARTEX will not be liable for any damage, direct or indirect, for any wrong details submitted.
• Comments of participants or materials sent to SMARTEX AWARDS including feedback and other communications of any kind shall be deemed to be not confidential.
• SMARTEX is free to reproduce, distribute, and publicly display such feedback and contest entries without limitations or obligations of any kind.
• SMARTEX reserves the right to analyze and summarize data that we collect and also reserves the right to publish, distribute, and share summaries of the data collected without limitations or obligations of any kind.
• If participants are unclear as to the rules or any element of the awards or experience difficulties of any kind, they can write their queries at press@buildingmaterialreporter.com
• The participants understand that the Award ceremony will be documented on different mediums of Promotion and they give SMARTEX and its affiliates the express permissions and rights to reproduce, exhibit, adverse, and exploit and license to others or to reproduce, exhibit, adverse, and exploit all of the photographs and recordings made hereunder in connection with the competition in any media, whether now known or hereafter devised, throughout the universe in perpetuity, including, without limitation, the right to use or authorize the use of any portion(s) of the event containing the photographs.
• If at any time, any information provided by any participant is found to be incorrect in any manner, then the participant will not be permitted to continue participation in the Awards.
• Determination of whether information is incorrect or not rests with the Awards Management.
• These Terms shall be governed by & construed by the applicable laws in India.
• The information shared by you in your competition entries might be used for PhD Thesis.
• The entries will be published via a compendium of the symposium with due credit to all authors of the work.
• The information in the entries will be utilised for the PhD Thesis of Prof. Amrita Madan titled 'The Architect in a Transforming World - A Study of the relationship between Architectural Practice and Academics.' The primary objective is to gain insights into contemporary architectural practice.
• Confidentiality will be maintained and names of Participants will not be disclosed in the analysis.
